Privacy Policy
KnoxCanvas is a door-to-door canvassing tracker. Companies use it to record which houses their team has visited, track shifts and see team results. This policy covers the KnoxCanvas iPhone app and the web app at knoxcanvas.app (also served at connorsdronepics.com).
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and the company you belong to. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Location: your precise location while you use the map. While you are clocked in for a shift, the app records your walking route (including in the background, shown by the blue location indicator) so it can find the houses you passed. The route is saved with the shift when you clock out.
- Canvassing records: the pins you place, including street address, visit status, notes and year built, plus your shift times and counts.
How it is used
Only to run the app: showing your company's map, saving your work, calculating shift results and showing team metrics to your company's owner. We don't sell your data, show ads or track you across other apps and websites.
Who can see it
Your company's pins and shifts are visible to members of your company. The company owner can see every member's shifts, walking routes and results. If your company owner connects a Google Sheets webhook, door hanger pins and shift summaries are also sent to that spreadsheet.
Services we use
- Google Firebase stores accounts and company data.
- Google Maps geocoding (through our server), Apple Maps and OpenStreetMap Nominatim turn map positions into street addresses.
- OpenStreetMap Overpass finds house addresses near your route. U.S. Census TIGERweb provides zip code boundaries.
These services receive the map coordinates being looked up, not your name or email.
Keeping and deleting data
Data is kept while your company uses KnoxCanvas. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete account). That removes your login and profile. Pins and shifts you recorded stay with your company, because they are part of its records; ask your company owner to remove them. An owner who deletes their account also deletes the company.
Children
KnoxCanvas is a work tool and is not intended for children under 13.
